Who We Are
Bloom Child Therapists launched in 2022 by Keri Sawyer, LCPC, with the goal of helping children and teens overcome mental health struggles and equip parents with tools to better understand and connect with their children.
Since then, we’ve provided children, teens, and parents in the South Denver area a space to discover and treat the root of the issue using strengths-based, research-supported, mental health counseling and parent coaching.
We are a group of therapists who value:
- Helping children as young as 2 years old who struggle with anxiety, worry, abuse, school concerns, and big life transitions.
- Helping anxious and angry teens & frustrated parents work through communication barriers to build trust and respect.
- Working with parents to figure out their parenting style, and confidently manage their own stress through parent coaching.
And foster a team environment through:
- Training stipends yearly to support your ongoing growth as a therapist.
- Quick caseload growth, based on your availability.

Clinical Internship
Students who are interested in working with Bloom Child Therapists counselors and clients can expect to spend their practicum hours alongside an LPC, shadowing and co-leading sessions before taking on their own clients between the ages of 2-18 years old during their internship.
Students will meet with a Clinical Supervisor weekly, attend staff meetings weekly and meet with our RPT-S (Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor) regularly to ensure they are well trained and prepared for their sessions.
Students are able to work towards their RPT credentials during their practicum and internship at Bloom. An onboarding training protocol (indirect hours) will be required and include training on various models of play therapy.
Both practicum and internship are unpaid positions. It is expected for students to be on site for all direct hours.
