A Message From Kailey
There are a lot of children who struggle with big emotions, low confidence, anxiety, and behavioral challenges that make every day life harder. They spend most of their days feeling frustrated, misunderstood or out of control because of stress at home, school pressures, or conflict in relationships.
They often find themselves melting down, shutting down, or arguing more than connecting with the people who love them most. Parents try everything they can think of but nothing seems to make it better.
What’s really keeping them up at night is knowing something’s not right but not knowing what it is or how to fix it.
Hi, I’m Kailey Phelan, a therapist at Bloom Child Therapists. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming and uncertain especially when it comes to your child.
I can only imagine how hard it is to watch your child struggle and not know how to help. You want them to feel happy, confident and secure but right now it might feel like you’re both just trying to get through each day. You want to help but it can be hard to know what they need or how to reach them and that can be scary and exhausting.
That’s why I create a warm, playful, and nonjudgmental place where kids can feel safe, seen and supported while expressing what’s inside and working through tough emotions. Through play, art, stories, and connection we begin to untangle what’s behind their big feelings so they can start to heal from the inside out.
I’m currently completing my Masters of Science for clinical mental health counseling so that I can help children work through anxiety, self esteem issues, behavioral challenges, emotional outbursts, relationship issues, and life changes all through a child-centered lens.
I use play therapy techniques, art-based activities, and developmentally appropriate tools that allow kids to express what words can’t always capture. My goal is to help children feel safe, capable, and confident in who they are, while helping parents understand and connect more deeply with them.
Getting started with counseling is simple.
The first step is to fill out the new client form on the website.
Second, once we receive the new client appointment form, someone on our team will reach out to you to schedule your first appointment.
And, third, once we schedule the first appointment, we’ll begin the counseling process where I’ll meet with both you and your kiddo.
If you are ready to be free from stress, confusion, and conflict, let’s find a way forward. Together, we’ll build calm, confidence, and connection, one playful step at a time.
I’ll guide you every step of the way.
